Early Childhood Consortium of North Texas
Filling an Essential Need
ECCNT began from a group of likeminded pediatric professionals who came together to fill a gap in resources for children, especially those with special needs, in the North Texas area. Many of these professionals saw on a daily basis the detrimental effects of parents not being able to receive resources or information needed for their child.
Today, ECCNT is comprised of a wide variety of people in North Texas who work to make life better for young children and their families. Public, private, and government agencies are just some that are represented at the Early Childhood Consortium of North Texas meetings.
While we all come from different pediatric arenas, our goal is all the same; to provide education and resources for children to the North Texas community. Through networking with trusted and established pediatric companies in the area, we are able to further establish parent outreach programs, as well as educate each other on resources available to families.
In addition to professionals, parents and caregivers are also an essential part of ECCNT, providing a family’s perspective on the needs in the area, as well as the top issues and concerns for today’s parent.
Together, with the various areas of expertise within ECCNT, we work as an effective unit to improve the welfare of young children and their families.
